South Coast Run, 9^th March 2008

On the Sunday before the Hastings Half, Christopher and I drove over to Seaford through some very heavy showers. Fortunately the weather improved and although cold it stayed dry throughout the races. Chris was entered into the 5K and I into the 10K. Both races started together. As expected Chris showed me a clean pair of heels and went on to come 3^rd in the single lap 5K race. I struggled round two laps for the 10K and didn’t finish last (which I always see as an achievement!) All the finishers received a t-shirt.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for the prize giving (something about being late for school play rehearsals ….) Anyway it was a nice surprise that a week or so later Chris received a prize for 3^rd in the post consisting of a cup, t-shirt and couple of water bottles. Well done Chris!
