Plenty of autumn sunshine and only a slight breeze greeted competitors participating in the 24th running of the John Faulds Hellingly 10k road race through the village and surrounding roads of Magham Down, and Cowbeech. An excellent entry with 245 finishers won by Daniel Anderson from Hastings AC who lead from Ian Leitch of Independent Fabrication in times of 33m52s and 34m01s respectively. Ian attacked at about 4k but could not sustain the pace and Daniel produced a blistering last 2k to create the gap near the finish. _________________________________ |
